For international students, our aged care course includes hands-on workshops, theory readings, and aged care work placement. This range of training methods will give you the fullest range of skills and knowledge needed to start your new career.
You’ll need to attend five (5) in-person classes as part of your certificate. These workshops include your free manual handling certification.
As you work towards your certificate, our experienced teachers will be there to help and guide you every step of the way.

It’s simple to begin a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability). You don’t need to have completed any prior study or work experience before you can join. But there are some minimum requirements that all students must meet in order to be eligible, such as:
All students wishing to enrol in this course must be at least 18 years old.
Students will need to have access to a device with an internet connection in order to complete the online readings in their own time.
The course materials are all delivered in English, and so students will require a fundamental grasp of both written and spoken English.
Being an aged care worker means being able to perform basic manual tasks such as moving patients. Students will need to have basic physical abilities to complete these.
International students looking to join our Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) course must meet the following eligibility criteria: Current Passport Eligible Visa (or be willing to obtain one) Highest Qualification Certificate and Transcript (Australia and/or Overseas) Current or past Confirmation of Enrolment from another provider (if applicable) - this may be used as English evidence Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Letter of Release (or any document authorising your transfer if the student is currently enrolled in another education provider in Australia) Vocational qualifications completed within Australia (including short courses like first aid) Credit Transfer Application (if applicable) English Language Qualification (IELTS, PTE, or other) Recent completion (within 3 months) Australian ELICOS Course with a result of Upper Intermediate.
