Why should I train with First Aid Course Experts?

Our courses are officially accredited in all Australian states and territories. First Aid Course Experts is an official Australian RTO and recognised by CRICOS, and our first aid courses – including the online HLTAID011 course – are accepted in the majority of professional roles with a First Aid training requirement.

First Aid Course Experts have a wide range of training venues available, with locations in all capital cities and many significant regional centres – from Cairns to Mt Gambier. Check out our locations pages for details on the venues we operate at, and have a look at our course calendar for details about when specific courses are running.

If you’re booking for a large group, and can’t travel far, we’ve got you covered – for corporate and group bookings, you can negotiate First Aid Course Experts to come to you! We can come to your location and provide on-site training, with all equipment and training resources provided.

When you’re booking with First Aid Course Experts, you’re working with an established Australian RTO (RTO #45654 | CRICOS #03884A) committed to providing first aid training that’s affordable, but also nationally recognised. And whether you’re learning at one of our many venues or on-site at your own workplace, your training will be fully compliant with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid accreditation

The cost to do the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training is only $97 – and that cost includes all equipment and resources needed and ongoing access to our online learning portal. We also have daily deals at different times, which can significantly lower the cost. And if you should happen to find the same course offered somewhere else for a lower price, we’ll beat the other price by 10% – we’re determined to have the best rates on the market.

Yes, our group booking rates are lower per head than booking individually, so it’s always worth making a combined booking if you can. It also opens up options like on-site training at your venue and customising the course content to suit your industry or workplace.

Your First Aid certificates are good for a period of three years from the completion of your course – and the date of expiry will be printed on your certificate. The exception to this is the HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate, which needs to be refreshed every 12 months to remain current. This is all laid out in the guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).

The certificates for your completed training will become available within 24 hours of the end of your course – normally on the very same day. This will be provided to you as a digital PDF file, which you can print out whenever you need, but is also easy to send and store electronically. It can also be re-downloaded from your student portal any time you wish – so it’s not the end of the world if you misplace the file.

Yes. You actually need a USI number for any formal training in Australia since they were introduced in 2015. You only ever need one (it’s like a tax-file number for training), so you just need to track down yours – or use the USI website to find it again. If you don’t have one, the good news is that it’s totally free and only takes a few minutes to apply for on the USI website (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi).

HLTAID011 is the most current standard for professional First Aid training. Previously, there have been other, older versions of the same training, including HLTFA311A Apply first aid, HLTAID003 and Senior First Aid. In almost all contexts where one of those older training standards is required, HLTAID011 is now accepted in its place.

Yes. Our HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training is accepted by a wide range of peak medical bodies in the field. In addition to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), the training is accepted by the Epilepsy Foundation, the National Asthma Council, the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), and Safe Work Australia.

Yes. We place high importance on the health and safety of our students, so our courses carefully follow all government regulations and recommendations in regards to social distancing, sign-ins, PPE (including masks), and other Covid-safe practices. Please respect your trainer’s instructions in this area, or you may be required to leave the training session.

Please note that First Aid Course Experts runs many training courses at venues that have a mandatory Covid vaccination requirement. This is not a decision of First Aid Course Experts but rather a requirement of the venue itself – generally in response to relevant government regulations. If this is an area of concern for you, it’s wise to check the standards that apply to your training venue on their website BEFORE the date of your training.

Our course calendar has a range of training locations and times available for you to book, including a range of times on weekends – just in case you’re unavailable during working hours. It’s your choice which course you wish to enrol in.

Yes, whether you did the face to face or the online version of the training, the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificates you receive at the end are identical. Your choice of format has no impact on your First Aid certification.
