HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR
Our CPR course is a comprehensive, streamlined, and practical-based learning experience that makes it fun while you learn.
- Delivery Method: Face-to-Face Training and Assessment with online e-learning.
- Course Duration: 1.5hrs face-to-face training and assessment, plus self-paced online learning. The time it takes to complete the eLearning will depend on an individual’s previous skills, knowledge, and experience.
- Core Units of Competency
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment the SAME DAY for HLATID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, CPR. - Certificate Valid for:
- 12 months from the date of course completion, CPR certification is required to be renewed annually
- Entry requirements: Minimum age 14 years. Basic numeracy and English literacy are required. To complete the CPR assessment, you must kneel on the floor and perform resuscitation techniques for two minutes. If this is not possible, please contact FACE before your course commences.
- Smaller Class Sizes: We aim to keep class sizes smaller for a more personalized experience. The durations of face-to-face courses reflect groups of between four and fifteen participants. If there are fewer students, course duration may be reduced by up to 10%. If the group is more than fifteen people, it may be necessary to extend the length of the course.
- Registration: Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the course commencement time.

HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid (includes CPR)
This is one of our most popular First Aid courses. It covers the skills and knowledge needed to provide a First Aid response in a range of situations. This course also includes CPR training, use of an AED, managing incidents using DRSABCD until qualified help arrives.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response to a casualty in line with First Aid guidelines determined by the ARC and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to all who may be required to provide a First Aid response in a range of situations.
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid is the most recent release of the accredited Provide First Aid course. It supersedes the old HLTAID003 release of Provide First Aid and is the course your employer will likely be referring to when they ask if you have your First Aid certificate.

This comprehensive course has a focus on providing First Aid to infants and children, as well as how to use an AED and perform CPR. It also includes the treatment of managing asthma, anaphylaxis, epilepsy, diabetes, fever, pain and diarrhoea.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response to infants and children in line with First Aid guidelines determined by the ARC and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a First Aid emergency.
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting supersedes the now-dated HTLAID004 Provide an emergency First Aid response in an education and care setting.
